Raft Of Trash — Andrew PM Hunt

Raft of Trash is a collaborative MIDI project between Thom Isom, JC Leisure and myself inspired by the natural rhythms of environmental dialogue and the sounds of systems. Using the videogame Simcity 3000, we extract MIDI data from the changing environmental sound design which is then used to control our own synths and samplers. We react musically to these semi generative forms with live guitar and sometimes vocals to create music somewhere between ambient and free improv.

We have released two EPs on the Pale Master label and a full length album called ‘Likeness On The Edge Of Town’ on Warm WInters Ltd, a label based in Slovakia
